ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Islamabad on Wednesday for the capacity building of PBM teachers of Women Empowerment Centres and PBM Schools for Rehabilitation of Child Labour.

The MoU was signed by the Managing Director PBM Aon Abbas Buppi and the Vice President Business Development ABCTE Iftikhar Qadar Khan in the presence of the Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal.Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal signs MoU with ABCTE for teachers’ capacity building

In her speech, Zubaida Jalal appreciated ABCTE for extending their partnership with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal focusing poorest of the poor. She said that teacher training certification programme is an internationally recognized degree and will have an everlasting impact on teacher’s abilities.

The minister also admired the untiring efforts of PBM’s managing director stating that “Under the dynamic & magnanimous leadership of Aon Abbas Buppi, PBM is materializing the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan for serving the deprived segments of the society”.

Zubaida Jalal also emphasized the significance of public private partnerships towards solving the social issues.

While addressing the ceremony, Aon Abbas said that today’s modern era demands high quality professional skills for which capacity building programmes have been now an integral part of PBM. He was of the view that PBM in collaboration with ABCTE is going to implement the great idea of teaching skill enhancement with contemporary online technology.

ABCTE will donate 2,000 certifications to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal

Appreciating the American Board, Aon Abbas anticipated for their continued technical and innovative support to uplift the living standard of vulnerable populace of the Country.

The Vice President ABCTE Iftikhar Qadar Khan said that we are working with PBM with the aim of providing high quality education by skill development certifications for the teachers.

Iftikhar Qadar also expressed his willingness to extend this training programme to the students of PBM as well.

Each certification costs US$ 2,000 and ABCTE will be donating 2,000 certifications to PBM. The cost is covered as a donation by a Pakistani Businessman residing in the United States.
