ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is frenzied after PTI’s landmark Jalsa at Minar-i-Pakistan in Lahore on April 29.

In a statement issued by the PTI’s Central Media Department after an important meeting of Central Leaders of PTI held on Thursday at the Chairman’s Secretariat with the Chairman PTI Imran khan in the Chair during which issues related to Country’s political situation, party affairs and strategy for the upcoming elections were reviewed and deliberated upon, Fawad Chaudhry said that Nawaz Sharif’s narrative is absurd and ambiguous, and at the same time it’s an attempt to mislead people about his corruption worth Rs 300 billion.

“PML-N has deteriorated Country’s administrative, economic and political infrastructure”, he said adding that its need of the hour to unshackle the Country from the mire of crisis.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf condemns in the strongest terms the misogynistic and below the belt comments of PML-N representative for women workers of PTI and demands stern action against Rana Sanaullah, Abid Sher Ali and Talal Chaudhary.

Sharing the details of the meeting, Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI is all set for the upcoming general elections.

The PTI Central Secretary Information said that in the meeting, PTI leaders have been directed to disseminate PTI’s 11 point plan across length and breadth of the Country and mobilize public for the forthcoming general elections. He said that 11 points of Imran Khan will pave the way to the brighter future of the Country.

Fawad Chaudhry further said that PTI outrightly rejects the “elite friendly” budget terming it a document which carries nothing for people. He said that the government has not provided relief to the masses in education, health and other sectors.

“This budget is aimed at safeguarding the interests of tax evaders and privileged class,” he said.

“PTI deems government’s move to present budget, unconstitutional”, he said maintaining that this government is not mandated to present budget for next fiscal year.

Moreover, Fawad Chaudhry said that in the meeting, PTI leadership also strongly condemned the brazen attacks on state institutions by Sharif family and stressed on the need to conclude the cases against house Sharif in the accountability court without further lag.

The PTI leadership also slammed the government for intensified load shedding and the hike in the prices of petroleum products and has demanded reduction in the taxes imposed on petroleum products to facilitate masses.

Fawad Chaudhry said that on the occasion of International Journalism Day, PTI reaffirms its commitment towards freedom of speech.

In the meeting, he said that PTI leadership paid tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the exercise of their profession. The PTI leadership also demanded the government to take measures to ensure safety of the journalistic fraternity.

In addition, the PTI leadership formally approved the move to file petition in the court seeking disqualification of federal minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal over Iqama.

Fawad Chaudhry said that after Nawaz Sharif and Khawaja Asif, now is the turn of Ahsan Iqbal to stand in the dock of law.
