North AmericaNawaz expresses serious concern over US drone strikes

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan’s Prime Minister in-waiting Nawaz Sharif on Friday expressed serious concern and reservations over the drone strikes in Pakistani territory.

In a statement issued on Friday, the PML-N chief said that the drone strikes were not only violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty but also against international laws and United Nations charter.

The statement came a day after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) announced to withdraw its dialogue offer to the new government after their number two in command, Wali-ur-Rehman, was killed in a US-led drone strike on Wednesday.
