KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Tuesday rejected a one-on-one meeting between party leader Dr Farooq Sattar and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Earlier, the government sources said that the Prime Minister would hold a one-on-one meeting with MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar today (Tuesday).

The decision came following the withdrawal of invitation to Sattar to attend the special meeting of the federal cabinet scheduled on Wednesday in Karachi. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will preside over the meeting which will chalk out a strategy to curb targeted killings and other criminal activities in the city.
