LAHORE, Pakistan: The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) hosted its Annual Career Fair 2020 on February 1, connecting LUMS students with prospective employers and introducing them to a myriad of job and internship opportunities offered by various public and private sector organisations.

This year, the LUMS Annual Career Fair welcomed 129 national and international reputed organisations, representing multiple industries. Extensive on-spot screening interviews, exchange of resumes, and engagement with the students took place. Company representatives also counseled students regarding their career choices and job market requirements.

Elaborating on the event, Dr. Adnan Khan, Dean Office of Student Affairs said, “LUMS has been hosting its Annual Career Fair for the last 11 years. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gauge the job market dynamics and get a first-hand account about the corporate culture, values and norms of companies, as well as an indication of the working atmosphere.”

Commenting on the occasion, the LUMS Vice Chancellor Dr. Arshad Ahmad said, “LUMS hosts the Career Fair as a signature, milestone event to not only provide opportunities to students for gainful employment but also to strengthen its partnership with existing and prospective employers. It is an exciting networking event showcasing reputable local, national and international companies as well as outstanding students from LUMS who learn about internship and full-time positions to explore future career opportunities. Our students have a wide range of skills and qualities to offer employers. We aim to promote them as a valuable resource while they consider life-changing prospects. This year 129organisations from multiple sectors are participating in the Career Fair. We are very fortunate to have our recruiting partners collaborate with our LUMS Career Services Office to make this event more successful than ever before.”
