WANA, Pakistan: It’s like dream comes true, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to declare the most scenic valleys of district South Waziristan i.e., Shakai and Badar as tourist places.

Talking to this scribe, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Naseerullah Wazir confirmed that the provincial government has decided to declare these valleys as tourist destinations and the formal announcement would be made soon in this regard.

He said that as it was in our manifesto that we will leave no stone unturned to give beautiful places like Shakai and Badar Valleys as the best tourist destinations status and make them the best spots for tourists.

Naseerulah was delighted as his efforts yielded the results and the provincial government has eventually decided to declare these valleys as tourist places.

He vowed that in order to make these valleys the best tourist places, roads would be constructed and provision of other much-needed facilities would be ensured.

The MPA said that Insha Allah, the day is not far when the waves of spring will come in these beautiful valleys of Waziristan, flowers will bloom and people will be happy to see the cool water flowing between the mountains.

Shakai, a tehsil of South Waziristan Agency (SWA), with a population of around 70,000, is one of the most picturesque valleys, which is located some 33 km north of Wana, headquarter of the SWA.

The people from all over the region visit the beautiful hill resort especially on Eid festivals to immerse themselves in mountains covered with lush green trees, cold atmosphere, fresh air and most importantly, clouds on the roads hugging you full of happiness.

Badar, another scenic spot, is home to a diversity of stunning landscapes and lush green hill tops.

The people loved to visit the valley in all seasons and mesmerized by its mount-watering beautiful places.

However, the non-stopped and ruthless deforestation kills the beauty of these scenic places; hence the government needs to be tackled this issue on a priority basis, as it will not only help preserve its beauty but will help mitigate the climate environmental hazards.

Shakai and Badar could become the best tourist destinations of the country with the government’s little attention and people attached high hopes with the incumbent government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to make the dream a reality by giving full attention to the long-neglected scenic places.
