PakistanImran Farooq murder suspect still in custody, confirms London police

LONDON: London police have confirmed that a suspect, who was arrested from Heathrow Airport yesterday, in Imran Farooq murder case, is still in their custody.

Earlier on Monday, London police at Heathrow Airport had taken a 52-year old person into custody, after arrival from Canada. Now over 24 hours have passed and still London police have not released that suspect.

It is expected that London police will take some decision about the suspect to set him free or release on bail under the findings of interrogation from him.

London police can keep any suspect under custody for maximum period of 36 hours only and if needed to keep someone in custody for more time, then they must take a new remand for that.

Next few hours are very important as London police will have to take final decision about release or new remand of the suspect held in Imran Farooq.
