After the long-reigning success in the automobile market, Honda finally enters the electric vehicle segment. The company has launched its first-ever E-scooter in China under the Chinese division of the company Wuyang Honda. The Honda U-GO electric scooter is designed by the company with an exclusive focus on urban commutes. While this may be true, the e-scooter market is on the rise all over China. With the new Auto Policy coming into action, Pakistan is all set to encourage the production and use of EVs. Will Honda E-scooters come to Pakistan? Let’s find out.
Honda U-GO E-Scooter
The overall look and feel of U-GO are minimalistic and compact. According to the reports, Honda has incorporated continuous-rated hub motors of 1.2kW and 0.8kW. Both these motors can top the speed of 53 km/h and 43 km/h respectively.
The new Honda U-GO electric scooter comes with 1.44kW lithium-ion batteries. It is worth mentioning that the battery can be doubled by installing a bigger battery pack as claimed by Honda.
Since U-GO is a scooter, the company has offered an under-seat storage space with a capacity of 26 liters. Riders can easily keep their helmet and small baggage inside the carriage compartment.
