ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Graduation Ceremony for National Security Course 2022 was conducted at National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad on Friday.

President Dr. Arif Alvi was the chief guest at the ceremony. Federal Ministers, Senators, Senior serving, and retired Military Officers were also present on the occasion.

The Graduation Ceremony, marked the culmination of the ‘National Security Course’ which had commenced on August 16, 2021, and was attended by participants from Civil Services of Pakistan along with members from the Armed Forces.

The main focus of this course was to enable the course members to comprehend the interplay of all elements of national power in the construct of ‘Comprehensive National Security’.

While addressing the graduates, the chief guest congratulated them on their achievements.

Having been equipped with the requisite skills to handle intricate and complex professional matters concerning national security, the president stressed that the graduates to do all what it takes to conceptualize the national response against the threats and challenges faced by the Nation.

President Arif Alvi appreciated the contributions of the National Defence University in refining and defining skills of the participants on national security concepts and enabling national policymakers to acquire a better understanding of issues concerning the national security of Pakistan.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
