Govt determined to improve ministries performance: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the federal government is determined to improve the performance of ministries in order to provide better service to the people at their doorsteps.

In a meeting held in Islamabad on Monday to review the government’s reforms agenda and the performance of ministries, the prime minister said that the government was making efforts to improve the living standards of people and provide them with all the basic facilities.

During the meeting, he directed to improve pay structure of civil servants in order to enhance their performance for better service delivery.

Nawaz Sharif said that the system of accountability could only be made effective by offering better incentives and attractions to bureaucracy.

The prime minister said that said the civil service reforms should be aimed at welfare of the people.

In addition, he said that the performance of civil servants will be monitored and dedicated and honest officers will be encouraged to ensure better service delivery to the people.
