ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the COMSTECH Headquarters in Islamabad on Thursday.
During his visit, the prime minister was briefed about medical equipment and products including sanitizers, safety dresses, ventilators, testing kits and masks, etc being manufactured in Pakistan by the Ministry of Science & Technology in collaboration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and other partners for containment of COVID-19.
In his address at the Ceremony, the prime minister said that COVID-19 crisis provided an opportunity to produce locally manufactured ventilators and other protective equipment as everything cannot be imported.
The prime minister said that we have to improve our hospitals and revamp our medical infrastructure in the Country. He said that hospitals will not improve unless the elite including ministers does not go there for treatment.
Meanwhile, in a twitter statement, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Indian government led by Narendra Modi with its fascist Hindutva Supremacist RSS-driven ideology continues its war crimes in Occupied Kashmir under cover of COVID-19 global pandemic.
The prime minister said that the Modi regime is violating Fourth Geneva Convention by continuing its genocide of Kashmiris and by attempting to change demography in Occupied Kashmir, which is a territory recognized as disputed by the United Nations.
Imran Khan urged the International Community to take notice of these war crimes by India in violations of 4th Geneva Convention and international humanitarian laws.
