75th National Liberation Day of Korea - President Dr. Arif Alvi has extended a message of felicitations to his South Korean Counterpart Moon Jae-in on the occasion of 75th National Liberation Day of the Republic of Korea. In his message on Saturday, Dr. Arif Alvi underlined the friendly relations between Pakistan and South Korea, which are based on mutual respect and close cooperation. The president said that the growing economic ties, people-to-people contacts, and collaboration in a wide array of fields offer a promising future for friendship between Pakistan and South Korea. The National Liberation Day is a holiday in South Korea that marks the liberation of Korea from 35 years of Japanese imperial rule in 1945 after the end of World War II.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has extended a message of felicitations to his South Korean Counterpart Moon Jae-in on the occasion of 75th National Liberation Day of the Republic of Korea.

In his message on Saturday, Dr. Arif Alvi underlined the friendly relations between Pakistan and South Korea, which are based on mutual respect and close cooperation.

The president said that the growing economic ties, people-to-people contacts, and collaboration in a wide array of fields offer a promising future for the friendship between Pakistan and South Korea.

The National Liberation Day is a holiday in South Korea that marks the liberation of Korea from 35 years of Japanese imperial rule on August 15, 1945 after the end of World War II.

Three years later, the same date marked the re-establishment of an independent South Korea.
