SIALKOT, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had successfully addressed all the challenges facing the Country.

In his address at a PML-N Workers’ Convention in Sialkot, Asif said that the enemies of Pakistan were trying to create hurdles in the path of development of the Country; however, the government successfully addressed all the challenges.

The minister said that PML-N led government took a number of bold decisions and with joint effort of political parties and sacrifices rendered by the security forces, the law and order situation was improved in the Country.

Khawaja Asif said that there would be no power load shedding by end of 2017, adding that in order to achieve the zero load shedding goal, several energy projects were under completion.

While announcing development projects in Sialkot, the minister said that Rs 180 million were released for the construction of Engineering University in Sialkot. He said that the construction works of Motorway had been started which would link Sambharial and Sowala.

While speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that PML-N led government had put the Country on the path of development and prosperity by taking concrete measures.

Saad Rafique said that the PML-N was came into power when the whole country was in the grip of load shedding and the most of the country was affected by terrorism in 2013.

The railways minister said that the PML-N was fulfilling its promises to remove the darkness and would establish peace and stability in the Country under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
