LAHORE, Pakistan: Strongly condemning the Lahore’s Anarkali blast, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the concerned authorities to apprehend those responsible for the attack at the earliest.
In his remarks during a meeting with the Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani held in Islamabad, the prime minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Lahore blast.
Earlier in the day, a blast went off in Pan Mandi area in New Anarkali Bazar of Lahore, killing at least 2 people and leaving 28 injured.
The Commissioner Lahore told that the injured persons also include three women while five victims have received critical injuries.
Police officials said that the blast was carried out through a time device mounted on a motorbike.
The Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the Chairman Pakistan People’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto, the Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari, the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz also denounced the blast in strong words and prayed for the departed souls and their families.
