SEHWAN SHARIF, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the federal government wants the Upper House of the Parliament – Senate – to function as per the Constitution and we will take Constitutional way to run this House.

While talking to media representatives at Sehwan Sharif, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the opposition has started confrontational politics to malign sanctity of the Senate and wants to keep it under their control.

Taking about the recent three-day visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Washington, she said that his successful visit to the United States has restored confidence of the world community in Pakistan.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the Country will now move in the right direction towards progress and prosperity.

The special assistant further said that the people of Sehwan Sharif have been denied of their basic needs of clean drinking water and health facilities.
