KARACHI, Pakistan: Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has said a city is recognized its good quality academic institutions.
The University of Karachi is an identity of the city of Quaid as since its inception it is producing experts in various spheres of activities.
He said this on the occasion of the oath-taking ceremony of the office bearers of the UNIKARIANS- an organization of the prominent old students of the University of Karachi here on Saturday.
The governor said that those who passed out from University of Karachi are now playing their role prominently in various fields.
He stated that student is always proud of his or her alma mater-the seat of learning.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad was of the view that the teachers while imparting knowledge should also pay a little more attention towards the training of the students.
He also asked the old students to do whatever they can for their alma mater so that it could keep making headway.
Later, the governor who is also the Chancellor of Karachi University administrated oath to the office bearers of the UNIKARIANS who were elected recently.
They included Professor Ejaz Ahmed Farooqui, president; Nadeem Hashmi, general secretary; and 16-member managing committee of the organization.
