How to activate NBP ATM Card?

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is the subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan that is owned by the government of Pakistan. This bank was established in 1949 as a commercial bank. Its headquarter is located on Chundrigarh Road, Karachi. It has branches all over Pakistan. Since its establishment, NBP is providing convenient financial services to customers. If you have an account in the National Bank of Pakistan, here is an easy step-by-step guide to obtain and activate NBP ATM card.

How To Apply For NBP ATM Card?

To apply for an NBP ATM card, you have to fill out an application form. You can get the NBP application form from any branch of the National Bank of Pakistan. You can also download a form through NBP official website. Here’s how you can download the form:

  • Type National Bank of Pakistan on your search engine’s search bar.
  • Open the website nbp.com.pk
  • Below the page, you will see the form and application options.
  • Click on the ATM form and download it.

How To Fill out the ATM form?

To fill ATM form you must provide exact details about your personal information:

  • Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Account Number
  • Date of Birth
  • CNIC Number
  • Postal Address

Make sure your spellings are correct and you do not make any mistakes while filling out the form. After filling out the form, submit it to the NBP banking officer.

Once your application is submitted, it takes 10 working days to process your application. After the wait is over, NBP will send you a text message to inform you about the issuance of an ATM card. The bank will deliver the card to your postal address.

Just issuing of ATM Card does not mean that you can use it right away. To make transactions or withdraw money, you have to activate it first. You can activate NBP ATM Card using any ATM machine. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Visit the nearest NBP ATM Machine.
  • Insert your ATM in the machine.
  • The machine will demand your CNIC Number.
  • Enter your CNIC number without any dashes.
  • Then enter your date of birth in the following format (DD/MM/YY).
  • After providing your Date of Birth, The machine will ask for an OTP sent by the bank.
  • Enter the OTP on the screen, then set your MPIN.
  • Confirm your PIN by entering it twice.
  • Your NBP ATM Card has been activated.
