ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan said on Thursday that unfortunately Pakistan was the victim of terrorism especially the Indian state terrorism.
In his weekly media briefing in Islamabad, the Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said that there was ample and undeniable evidence that India was involved in subversive activities and financing terrorism in Pakistan.
The Spokesman said that there was a confessional statement of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing’s (RAW) agent Kulbushan Yadav in this regard.
Nafees Zakaria said that the former US defense secretary Chuck Hagel had stated that New Delhi was trying to destabilize Pakistan from Afghanistan. He said that there were also statements of top Indian leaders about using terrorism against Pakistan.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson said that no nation did more than Pakistan to wipe out terrorism. He said that Pakistan’s successes were acknowledged by all.
“We have called upon India to pursue the path of dialogue rather than confrontation and terrorism,” Zakaria said.
However, the Spokesman regretted that India shied away from talks for resolution of outstanding disputes including the core dispute of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Spokesman said that just resolution of this dispute was essential for normalization of relations between the two countries and peace and development in the region.
