PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Owing to insufficient and improper security arrangements, Peshawar police have registered cases against the heads of 200 private and government-run schools in the district.

According to police on Tuesday, the arrangement adopted by the schools’ administration for security purposes were inspected on daily basis.

The inspection was being carried out in Cantonment, city and rural circles on daily basis.

During three days of the campaign, police said cases have been registered under section 12 SVEP Act against the heads of 200 private and government-run schools.

Under this Act, police said responsible person could face six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 40,000 however keeping in view sanctity of the educational institutions only fine would be imposed on the schools’ heads.
