ISLAMABAD: A special meeting of the federal cabinet regarding law and order situation in Karachi will be held on Wednesday at the Governor House in Karachi with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in chair.

Earlier, the meeting was schedule to be held on Tuesday (tomorrow).

During the meeting, the Interior Ministry will submit its report on law and order situation and furnish recommendations for the restoration of peace in Karachi.

The Prime Minister will take the political parties into confidence on Karachi’s situation and seek their support for maintenance of law and order there.

Moreover, the meeting will finalize a strategy to take across the board action against the criminal elements in Karachi.

The Sindh Governor and Chief Minister besides political leadership of Karachi‚ heads of security agencies including Director General Rangers‚ Inspector General Sindh Police will attend the meeting.
