Pakistan wants US to continue coalition support fund to combat terrorism

WASHINGTON: Pakistan wants the United States to continue Coalition Support Fund (CSF) for anti-terror war even after withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan, the prime minister’s special assistant on foreign affairs Tariq Fatemi told media representatives in Washington.

The special assistant to the prime minister on foreign affairs is currently in the US for a weeklong official visit from July 21 to July 28.

Earlier, Fatemi while speaking on another occasion underscored Pakistan’s commitment to building a peaceful neighbourhood for regional peace, security and prosperity.

The prime minister’s special assistant also highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fight terrorism and extremism in all its forms through a comprehensive and consensus-based approach.

Fatemi said that the ongoing military operation in the North Waziristan tribal region will continue till area is cleared of all terrorists.
