Foreign OfficePakistan apprises world powers including EU about arrested RAW agent

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office said on Thursday that World major powers including the European Union have been apprised about the arrest of Kulbhushan Yadav, a detained officer of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Last week, Kulbhushan Yadav was held by the security forces from Balochistan’s Chaman area. Later in a statement, Yadav confessed that he was still a serving officer of Indian Navy and had been involved in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi for RAW.

In his weekly press briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that the entire world itself has seen the admission statement of the Indian agent.

The spokesman reminded that Pakistan had provided the United Nations with the evidences of Indian interference and terror activities.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in a meeting with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Islamabad on March 26 also took up the issue of RAW agent and discussed involvement of the Indian spy agency in Pakistan’s internal affairs especially in Balochistan.

Pakistan seeks RAW agent’s activities record from Iran

Meanwhile, the Federal Interior Ministry has written a letter to the Iranian government on Thursday in which it sought information about activities of RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadav in the Islamic Republic.

In the letter, it was stated that India is involved in terrorism in Pakistan; therefore, Tehran should provide complete record of Kulbhushan Yadav’s activities in Iran.

Iran was also asked to provide the record regarding Kulbhushan Yadav’s meetings and his business in the Islamic Republic.
