PESHAWAR: At least nine persons were injured in Peshawar’s Murshid Abad area on Friday when policemen allegedly opened fire on the participants of a rally which was being held against Rawalpindi incident.
The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Zaheer-ul-Islam said that the fleeing policemen were arrested by their colleagues.
It may be mentioned that Wafaqul Madaris al-Arabia is observing countrywide ‘protest day’ today against Rawalpindi incident during which many persons were killed and injured.
