ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said no formal talks are currently being held with the Taliban.

In a statement‚ he said most of the media reports on this issue are speculative and not based on facts.

He said that the negotiations with the Taliban are very sensitive and complex issue and it is premature to state that the dialog process has begun.

However‚ he said the government has chalked out its strategy for talks with the Taliban.

Chaudhry Nisar said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will visit Karachi next week. After the visit‚ he said‚ chiefs of political parties will be taken into confidence on strategy to establish peace in Karachi.
