ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The countrywide campaign for re-verification of Computerized National Identity Cards (CINC) began on Friday.
National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) has established the helpline capable of handling 10,000 calls per day and a gateway of 150,000 SMS per day to facilitate people who will report suspected CNICs issued to aliens.
NADRA will ensure utilization of all its resources to achieve the desired objective of removing aliens from Authority’s database within the given timeline.
The authority has completed all arrangements to make the national drive a success.
It has also prepared a media strategy for awareness of masses in this regard.
The authority has also launched a reward scheme under which those giving information about presence of foreigners with Pakistani identity cards or passports would be rewarded ten thousand rupees per person.
