ISLAMABAD: The election for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of National Assembly will be held on Monday. The nomination papers for the two offices can be filed before 12.00 noon on Sunday.

PML (N) has nominated Ayaz Sadiq for the Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi for the Deputy Speaker.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement has also announced to contest the election for the slot of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker.
