Protecting Honour: Manjit Mirgind sentenced 10 year in jail for attempting honour killing of his daughter-in-law Jageer Mirgind

Killing or beating womanhood on the name of honour has nothing to do with social status, educational background or religious training of culprit rather this is a mind set in which abuser or culprit feels that every girl and woman of his family is his honour and he possess  them and own them. There is only one difference in such cases—justice is provided to victims in well-educated and reform societies while radicalised societies make culprit a hero saying killing of a woman to save hour of the family is a heroic act.
