ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned the dastardly terrorist acts in Kabul that resulted into the loss of a number of precious human lives and left several others injured.
“The Government and the people of Pakistan extend their sincere condolences and profound sympathies to the families of the bereaved people and convey their earnest prayers and wishes for early recovery of those injured in this heinous act of terrorism,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.
Pakistan reiterated its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations and reaffirmed commitment for continued efforts and cooperation for eliminating this menace.
Earlier in the day, twin suicide blasts ripped through a demonstration carried out by Hazara Community in Kabul. The blasts resulted in deaths of at least 80 people and injuries to 231.
The militant outfit Islamic State (IS) claimed to have been behind the Kabul blasts.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also condemned loss of human lives in bomb blasts in Kabul and urged the world community to join forces to fight terrorism.
In his message to the people of Afghanistan, he said that terrorists have no religion and they do not have any respect for humanity. He said that terrorism should be dealt with iron hands.
