Mehwish Hayat Stops Vasay Chaudhry on Body shaming During Show!
While everyone knows Mehwish as a brilliant actress from the industry who exhibited her talent through dramas and films, it was something pleasantly surprising seeing her calling out Vasay during the show for body shaming.
We know that in our society, it is such a common practice to body shame people without dealing with the effects. People pass comments on the physique of a person while ignoring the fact that it can be hurtful for the target individual. However, taking it as a usual practice, our shows, dramas, and other entertainment stuff has such material in the name of satire that is basically giving way to body shaming.
So, when Mehwish Hayat was on Vasay’s show, he asked her in a humorous way:
“Which Pakistani actor can play the role of Ertuğrul’s companion?”
Mehwish replied:
“Ahmed Ali Butt”
While responding to it, Vasay commented:
“Ahmed Ali Butt on a horse and that horse has to run, we have to save the horse”.
Mehwish stopped Vasay and said:
“You can not body shame someone in front of me, if you are sitting with your friends that’s the other thing but you can’t say things like this on such a platform, people will pick what you have said and repeat it and then you will be responsible for whatever happens”.
