CAIRO: An Egyptian court on Monday upheld former Prime Minister Hisham Kandil’s one-year prison sentence and ordered his arrest.

Kandil, who was appointed by deposed President Mohamed Morsi, was sentenced to one year in prison in April over charges of failing to implement a court ruling to renationalize a textile company sold off by the Hosni Mubarak administration.
