ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has underlined the need for providing online education by the Universities and other Higher Educational Institutions so as to avoid academic loss of the students in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During a presentation given by the Vice-Chancellor of Baltistan University Professor Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan through a Video Conference on Wednesday in which he highlighted various initiatives taken by the University for promotion of education, the president said that the University needed to focus on research and innovation as well as strengthen its linkages with national and international universities so as to promote quality education in the Country.

President Dr. Arif Alvi appreciated the measures taken by the Management of University for arranging online classes for students as well as promoting education in Gilgit-Baltistan.
