ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Three-day `Youth Carnival’ of Institute of Space Technology (IST) starting from March 31 would showcase variety of competitions among the students of different bonafide universities.

Arranging such carnivals is an annual feature of the institute to give opportunities to the talented students to exhibit their potentials and bring laurels.

The registration process has been completed and the students are now enthusiastic to participate in the variety of competitions being arranged by the institute.

The Youth carnival would consist of many competitions including Qiraat, Naat – Hamd, Declamation, Essay Writing, Story Writing, Journalism, Urdu Poetry, Redefining Pakistan, Community Learning, Painting, Sketching, Visage Canvas, Calligraphy, Wall Graffiti, Photo Story, On-Spot Photography and IYC Selfie Contest.

The other competitions include T-Shirt Designing, e-Poster Designing, Logo Designing, Short Film, Drama, MIME, Dance, Singing, Battle of Bands, Business Plan, Fashion Entrepreneurial Challenge, Product Re- branding, Design to Drive, Circuit XIX | Logic Chef, Code Jam, Egg Drop Competition and Bridge Designing.

The competitions also include MiC-GeeK, Photon Fun, Lithe Copter, Avion Faire, Game of Control, Glider Design and Fly, Water Rocket, Scrap Tech, Concept Wars, 3D CAD Modeling, Bridge Breaking, Dare to Conquer (Mathematical Hunt), Escape from Infinity, e – Gaming, Basketball, Futsal, Table Tennis and Tennis.

IST is a premier institute in the field of space technology and ranked amongst the top five Engineering universities of Pakistan by Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Besides the engineering science and space technology endeavors, IST has the history of conducting literary and cultural events to boost the literary, managerial and soft skills of the students at institution and at the national level.

IST believes in tapping the innate abilities and talent of the youth by providing a competitive environment to the students.

To accomplish this, IST has been hosting “All Pakistan Inter University Challenge” a three day event featuring competitions of various sorts since 2008. The event received tremendous applause from all around thus making it an annual feature.
