Elections 2013ECP says Election canvassing to end at midnight tonight

ISLAMABAD: The campaign for general elections will come to an end at midnight tonight.

The Election Commission said any violation of the deadline will warrant disqualification of the concerned candidates. They can be fined upto 100‚000 rupees and the Returning Officers can withhold their results.

Polling will be held on Saturday (May 11) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. without any break.

Meanwhile‚ ballot papers have been delivered to all Returning Officers for onward distribution among Presiding Officers by tomorrow.

Special security measures were adopted for dispatching ballot papers and their collection.
