Hate Campaign against Pakistan Army: Should Government let PTI dismantle state institution?

Islamabad, Pakistan: The issue of the announcement of banning Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has triggered a debate about whether should it be banned or not and what the consequences of banning a party that is truly not a political party rather than a cult or pressure group since 2010. The best statements came from PPP leaders that say that PTI must behave like a political if it wishes to remain on the list of political parties registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

After receiving news about its possible ban, this cult was not taken aback rather has started a frontal attack on national institutions as it always does when it faces critical moments.  Political facilitation by the High Judiciary always encourages PTI to play aggressively against state institutions because it has an intuition that nobody would dare to teach a lesson to this party because there is a higher judiciary available to bail PTI out from anything it does. As usual target is the top leadership of the Pakistan Army through its official accounts on social media. Since 1971 negative propaganda has been done and this is still going on, the question is getting stronger in public circles what are the motivations behind this anti-national social media campaign?

It is surprising that most PTI leaders including Rauf Hasan, Umar Ayub, Barrister Gauhar, and Ali Muhammad Khan have repeatedly expressed their on-record indifference to the social media campaign, and even condemned it in several instances stating that they do not have control over it and it is run from the United States. However, everybody knows that they are beneficiaries of this campaign that is on with their consent. There is no doubt left that US-based PTI leader Gibran Ilyas is running this campaign on the instructions of Imran Khan and he has full support of his foreign masters. There is no doubt now that the full blessing of the founder of this anarchist party is behind this hate campaign against the state of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army and the money is paid in millions of dollars for hiring lobbying firms and companies backed by Zionist and Indian lobbies. Is it not digital terrorism against the state of Pakistan? Should the higher judiciary not raise questions about who is funding this foreign campaign, targeting Pakistan? Should the higher judiciary not ask why the PTI government in KP is surrendering to terrorists and is there any link between inviting TTP in Pakistan by Imran Khan and the now perceivable surrender of the PTI-led government in KP? These are serious questions that the higher judiciary is avoiding but the public is looking at judges that later or sooner they should raise these questions to PTI leadership.

In 2022, PTI adopted the policy of negotiating with the TTP and invited them to resettle in Pakistan while supporting the demand for the TTP to be recognized and given office. Now after surrounding TTP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI is blaming federal agencies for the horrific law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Parliamentary leader of PTI Umar Ayub Khan on social media platform X accused the intelligence agencies of neglecting their duties based on the recent rise in the wave of terrorism in the country. Perhaps Umar Ayub Khan’s memory has faded. He should know that the PTI government and its leader Imran Niazi negotiated with the TTP Khawarij and resettled them in the province. Due to the wrong decisions of the PTI government, today the officials of the security agencies and the people of the province are facing a new wave of terrorism. Moreover, it is a pity that none of the Chief Ministers and members of the provincial cabinet even go to attend the funerals of the martyrs.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa opposition leader Ibadullah also claimed in the assembly session that the PTI government settled 12 thousand armed people in the province and accused PTI of giving PTI offices here. Ali Amin Gandapur has also admitted to paying extortion to the Taliban.

It should be remembered that a new wave of terrorism has come into the country mainly because of the TTP’s nefarious policy of negotiating with the Khawarij (TTP) and terrorists. Umar Ayub must understand that being a politician he should avoid continuing to spew venom by creating farcical illusions against the state institutions and committing treason.

Even UN report on terrorism has testified that the reason for the increase in terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not the negligence of the army, but anarchic plans of resettling terrorists in Pakistan that raised the morale of the terrorists, which is once again affecting the peace of Pakistan and especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

When asked to comment, senior journalist Aijaz Ahmed said that PTI must not hide its incompetence and hatred of the country behind these insults and statements because the people of Pakistan are not going to fall for false propaganda and statements. “The public is well aware of your lies and propaganda. United Nations report has confirmed that the terrorism that Pakistan is facing is due to the invitation of PTI to TTP and the resettling of terrorists during PTI’s tenure. TTP as the biggest terrorist group in Afghanistan is attacking Pakistan from Afghanistan”, commented Aijaz Ahmed.

He was of the view within PTI circles, that some politicians are afraid of this massive anti-Pakistan campaign and are concerned with the anarchic thinking of Imran Khan. They look scared because the party is suffering from constant vandalism but they are too weak to stand against Imran Khan who being an anarchist does not want to listen to differences of opinion. Now the time has come for the state to rein in anarchist-minded leadership so that the anti-patriotic elements can be completely and timely eradicated and remedied which is indispensable for the development and security of Pakistan. In this regard, the government’s ban on PTI is the need of the hour.

When contacted to comment on the propaganda campaign of PTI, an academician, and writer who is also the author of a book, Shazia Anwer Cheema, she was of the view that it was already ‘too late’ to take punitive action against PTI.

“Can you run a state like this where everybody is free to attack state institutions and laddered to the Parliament? Why are state institutions like parliament and judiciary scared of PTI slur brigades? PTI works on a one-point agenda which is to make Pakistan like Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, or Libya because PTI only targets the Pakistan Army because developing hatred among the public against the Army helped to dismantle armies in Iraq, Afghanistan Haiti, or Libya. This is what PTI wants. It wants to pitch the public against the Army, which it did on May 9, 2023, but failed so it does not stop its work and is still trying to do it again, ” said Shazia Anwer Cheema.
