The following four ongoing Scholarship Programs of Pakistan are with China:

  • China Scholarship Council (CSC) Chinese Government Scholarship Program is for undergraduate, Masters and PhD.
  • Yes China Youth of Excellence Scheme for Masters Program
  • Xi’an-Jiao-tong University Scholarship Program for Masters and Ph.D
  • HEC-CRBC Scholarship Program for Masters

A total of 100 students benefited from these Scholarship Programs.

The detail is as under:

  • China Scholarship Council (CSC) Chinese Government Scholarship Program is for undergraduate, Masters and PhD: 70 students were nominated by the HEC under the Chinese Government Scholarship Program; however, 40 of them were awarded scholarship by China at Undergraduate, Master’s & PhD levels.
  • Yes China Youth of Excellence Scheme for Masters Program: One slot was given to Pakistani professionals under “Yes China Youth of Excellence Scheme” but no one was finally selected by the Chinese Embassy.
  • Xi’an-Jiao-tong University Scholarship Program for Masters and PhD: 10 slots were given to Pakistani students for Masters and PhD under Xian-Jiao-tong University Scholarships four for Masters & six for PhD have been awarded.
  • HEC-CRBC Scholarship Program for Masters: A total of 50 students are enrolled under this program.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is hopeful that these four Chinese government funded programs will be continued.

Furthermore, three to four new scholarship programs proposal are under consideration for the future.
