ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has said that Pakistan would leave no stone unturned in dispelling the propaganda against China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

In his address at the 7th China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Media Forum on “Enhance New Media Cooperation to Depict the Multidimensional & Comprehensive CPEC” in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that through CPEC, China has given a vote of confidence to Pakistan’s potential to build a better future, and we would uphold this confidence by countering the recent misinformation around the project.

The Speaker said that the media has the responsibility to report fairly and factually on CPEC. He added that sharing in the media sector at all levels between Pakistan and China is the need of the hour which will take bilateral relations to new heights.

Pervez Ashraf said that there is a need for large-scale outreach efforts towards mitigating the apprehensions of local communities for those vicious propaganda campaigns.

The Speaker National Assembly said that a multi-dimensional outreach strategy comprising all stakeholders is the need of the hour. He said that think tanks, media, and educational exchanges can also prove instrumental in this effort.

About the CPEC Media Forum, he said that through events like it, Countries can get an excellent opportunity to consolidate the existing all-weather friendship between Pakistan and China.
