ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court continues the hearing into petition regarding development funds given by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
In his remarks‚ Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said the prime minister has no prerogative to release discretionary funds. He said former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf gave funds worth 6.50 billion rupees to the people of his own liking close to the general elections.
