Boko Haram kills six, kidnaps dozens in northeast Nigeria

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria: The Boko Haram militants have killed at least six persons and kidnapped dozens of boys and men after they attacked a village in northeast Nigeria.

The eyewitnesses said on Friday that 97 persons are missing following last Sunday’s raid by the militants on the village of Doron Baga.

The militants loaded their captives onto trucks before driving away from the area, local residents said, adding that several houses were also burnt during the attack.

The militant group has already kidnapped more than 400 people in Nigeria as the government forces failed to put an end to the abductions.
