Srinagar, IoK: Three-year-old Aayad is still in trauma since the day his grandfather Bashir Ahmed was shot dead in front of him by Indian occupying forces.
“Aayad doesn’t sleep well, doesn’t eat well and he doesn’t wish to play with his cousins since the day his grandfather Bashir Ahmed was shot dead in front of him by Indian occupying forces, “said one of his neighbours.
A neighbour of ill-fated Bashir Ahmed while talking to Eurasia News requested not to disclose his identity because there is tremendous pressure on family, neighbours and relatives of Bashir Ahmed administration and they have allegedly been directed not to talk to media about the incident that changed the life of 3-year old Aayad.
Bashir Ahmed was dragged out of his car, shot dead, and thrown on-road when he was travelling with his grandson Aayad from Srinagar to Sopore on July 1, 2020.
Further details of this incident suggested that Bashir Ahmed was dragged out of his car and shot in cold blood in front of his 3-year-old grandson and then Indian troops later placed the child on Bashir’s chest and took pictures and spread photos on social media.
“When asked why did troops put grandson on the chest of his dead grandfather and made photos and made them viral? A former Indian Police official was of the view that Indian Forces always wish to terrorized Kashmiris and wanted to send a symbolic message to them (People of OIK) that their Present is killed and their Future is crying but nobody would help Kashmiris.
