India and the Taliban shape Israel’s eastern front

India is a terrorist state, says Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi Moscow, Russia: Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has stated that India operates as a terrorist state and has institutionalized state-sponsored terrorism in South Asia. While responding to allegations raised by a participant during the Moscow–Islamabad Media Forum held here, Ambassador Tirmizi deliberately refrained from citing detailed historical examples of Indian-sponsored terrorism in the region—despite well-documented cases such as India’s role in nurturing the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Sri Lanka during the 1980s and the creation and facilitation of terrorist networks operating against Pakistan, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the mid-2000s, according to Pakistani security assessments. Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized that the international community must not overlook the ideological foundations of India’s ruling establishment. He pointed out that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)—the ideological parent organization of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)—has historically expressed admiration for European fascist leaders such as Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. He added that the organizational structure of the RSS was openly inspired by fascist movements of the 20th century, an ideology that, he said, continues to influence India’s internal and external policies. While avoiding reference to recent allegations of state-sponsored cross-border terrorism attributed to India in countries such as Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, the ambassador focused on the direct impact of India’s actions on Pakistan. He stated that it was India itself that took the Jammu and Kashmir dispute to the United Nations Security Council, accepted multiple UN resolutions, and committed to holding a plebiscite. However, he noted that India has since refused to implement these resolutions and continues to deny the Kashmiri people their internationally recognized right to self-determination. Ambassador Tirmizi categorically rejected Indian accusations against Pakistan, describing them as politically motivated and unsupported by evidence. In contrast, he presented what he termed concrete proof of India’s direct involvement in destabilizing Pakistan, including the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav, a serving Indian Navy officer arrested by Pakistani authorities. He referred to Jadhav’s recorded confession, in which the officer detailed his deployment to Pakistan to coordinate and finance terrorist and subversive activities across multiple regions, ranging from Karachi to Khyber, with the objective of undermining Pakistan’s internal security. The ambassador concluded that Pakistan has consistently called for independent international investigations into terrorism-related allegations, while India has resisted transparency, further strengthening concerns about New Delhi’s covert operations beyond its borders.
