Festival of Arts and Literature in Lahore was organised by Khayal Creative Network at Alhamra.  Ayesha Hussain of Khayal Creative Network, she said that Khayal is going to promote  literature, arts, discussion and debate in Pakistan through different means. Enthusiast performance of Mekaal Hassan Band was seen when they played the national anthem at the opening of Day 1.  It was observed that people belonging to the fields of literature, art, music, dance, architecture, journalism, film, television attended the day 1 of the festival which  consisted of different sessions,  focused on different aspects of literature and arts in Pakistan.
