ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: One more innocent civilian suffered injuries when the Indian forces again resorted to a ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Chirikot Sector on May 20.

The 45-year-old resident of Pothi village Muhammad Arif sustained serious injuries due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian forces.

The incident prompted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad to summon the Senior Indian diplomat to register Pakistan’s strong protest over ceasefire violations by India.

The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars and automatic weapons.

In 2020, India has so far committed 1,102 ceasefire violations.

Earlier on May 19, the Indian forces injured injuries to three innocent civilians belonging to Ooli and Khanni villages along the LoC in Nikial Sector.
