ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said the upcoming 3-day visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Ankara as an effort to further strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and Turkey.

Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said Pakistan and Turkey maintain close fraternal ties and leadership of the countries is committed to further strengthen these ties in all sectors.

Talking about the objectives of the visit‚ the Spokesperson said it will help promoting economic activity and increase trade and investment in Pakistan.

Aizaz Ahmad told Pakistani delegation will take part in a series of business and trade related activities in Turkey including a large Business Forum in Istanbul. He said the visit will bring fruits to the people of Turkey and Pakistan.

Aizaz Ahmad said regional and international situation will also come under discussion during Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s meetings with his Turk counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the President Abdullah Gul.

Aizaz said Turkey is a pride member of Muslim world and both the countries share common interests on Middle East.
