ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold a summer camp next month for children between 6 to 19 years to learn French language through games, paintings, cooking, singing and other healthy activities.

Applications have been invited from the children for their registration. Last date for this purpose is July 14 while classes will be started on July 17.

   

Admission forms are available from the Department of French at the University’s Main Campus in Islamabad.

Registration fee is 5000, however there would be 50 percent fee concession for the children of University’s employees.

This will enable children to learn basics of French language as well as to have some entertainments.

Recently, the AIOU has focused on promoting cultural and social activities, providing positive and healthy environment to the students.

During the current month, AIOU’s 44 regional offices across the country have completed first-phase of Qirat, Naat, calligraphy, speeches and postal completions among the local students. In the second phase, the competitions will be held at seven regional headquarters, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Gilgit and Islamabad.

Later, there will be final contests at the University’s Main Campus in Islamabad.
