ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold a national conference in Islamabad later in December 2017 to promote research and education on climate change and atmosphere.

The University sources said on Friday that the event is being arranged by the University’s faculty of Sciences in collaboration of the federal government’s Department on Global climate.

This is part of the series of activities, undertaken by the University to address the socio-economic issues of the country through publication of research journals and holding of conferences at international and national-level.

As many as 14 research journals were issued and 27 conferences were arranged during the last three years on the initiative of the Vice Chancellor AIOU Professor Dr Shahid Siddiqui.
