ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University has set up an accessibility center for blind and other visually impaired students at its national library.

The university has provided free of cost arrangements for all the needed and deserving students.

The Center has started working for making such students a useful member of the society.

Following the high vision of Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui, to provide the opportunity to every citizen for improving their skills in life with better education, the official sources told APP that all out efforts are being made to achieve the objectives in this regard.

The progress and development of the country with quality education and skills was the focus of the VC of this varsity, Official of the university said, adding that visually impaired students would enjoy the facility of computers, scanners, printers with different software which can help students or blind persons to have access of e-content from the internet.

The needed students would be able to access HEC’s digital resources, e-Books, research articles, journals, thesis and course material of relevant programs without any extra charges, the sources added.
