ISLAMABAD: In what appears to be a much-needed mover, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has introduced a six-month duration certificate course to overcome the deficiency of trained teachers for non-formal education throughout the Country.

This course is specially designed for the capacity building of teachers for non-formal education.

The Chairman Department of Distance, Non-Formal and Continuing Education Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Chaudhary informed that this course has been introduced to enhance the literacy rate in the Country by providing trained teachers, teaching basic life skills to the non-formal education students, and readmitting the dropout students into educational activities. Moreover, AIOU has launched an e-commerce training program of three moth duration for the Country’s unemployed youth in collaboration with BF technologies. This new certificate course is based on Virtual Assessment PL (Amazon.com), Virtual Trade (Alibaba.com), and Virtual Store Manager (Daraz.com). The deadline for admission in these programs is October 15, 2020.
