AIOU admission tests for PhD, MS to start from March 1

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has released the entry test schedule for merit-based programs including PhD, M Phil/ MS, and MSc (Honors).

As per the schedule, entry tests for PhD and M Phil programs of the Faculty of Education will be conducted on March 1 at 10:00 am in the Academic Complex of the Main Campus in Islamabad while interviews of successful candidates will be conducted in the relevant department on March 2 at 2:00 pm.

Likewise, entry tests of the Faculty of Sciences will be conducted on March 2 and interviews will be conducted on March 3.

Moreover, entry tests for PhD and M Phil programs of Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities will be conducted on March 4 at 10:00 am in the Academic Complex of the Main Campus of the University while interviews of successful candidates will be conducted in the relevant department on March 4.

It is pertinent to mention here that it is for the first time in the history of AIOU that entry tests for merit-based programs including PhD, M Phil/ MS, and MSc (Honors) will be conducted jointly by the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) and relevant academic department(s).

Merit lists of the successful candidates of all faculties will be uploaded on the university website. Email and SMS have been sent to all candidates appearing in the entry test. If any candidate has not yet received this information, they may contact their relevant program coordinator.

The COVID-19 SOPs will be fully implemented while conducting entry tests and interviews.

BASR and all academic departments offering PhD/M.phil programs have been instructed by the Vice-Chancellors AIOU Professor Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum, to implement HEC policy guidelines in true letter and spirit to ensure transparency in the entire selection process including conducting tests, interviews, and finalization of merit lists.
