Education150 fake cases of promotion in Sindh Education Department traced

KARACHI, Pakistan: As many as 150 cases of fake promotions have been detected in the Sindh Education Department.

This was informed to the Sindh Chief Secretary, Muhammad Siddique Memon, when he visited the Provincial Education Department here on Wednesday.

The Chief Secretary was informed that such cases, which mostly included of the teachers, came to the fore during a scrutiny of documents undertaken by a committee that was formed by the Department of Education. Necessary disciplinary action was initiated against such employees.

During the visit, Siddique Memon was briefed by the Secretary Education, Fazalullah Pechaho, about the functioning of the Department and various systems adopted by it including computerization of the employees’ personal files and service books, biometrics attendance system as well as the complaint system.

The Chief Secretary appreciated the efforts of the Education Department towards ensuring good governance.
