Pakistan announces 15-member Cricket World Cup squad

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup.

The Chief Selector Moin Khan announced the team at a news conference in Karachi on Wednesday.

Misbahul Haq will captain the team while other members include Ahmad Shahzad, Muhammad Hafeez, Younis Khan, Haris Sohail, Umer Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Shahid Afridi, Yasir Shah, Muhammad Iran, Junaid Khan, Ehsan Adil, Sohail Khan and Wahab Riaz.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be held in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29.

The mega event will kick off with first One-Day International (ODI) between New Zealand and Sri Lanka on February 14 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch whereas Pakistan will begin their campaign against arch-rivals India on February 15 in a day-night match at Adelaide Oval.

The final match of the mega event will take place on March 29 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
